Dear Families of the Anderson Bats National Classic,

I would like to welcome you to the 2008 Phil Nevin National Classic. This page is designed to help you enjoy your experience and make sure that you are fully informed on all parts of the tournament.

This years National Classic has its seventh"Opening Night Party" with all the Players, Coaches, Parents and friends of all teams in the same place at the same time. We will have a homerun hitting contest, exhibit booths, food booths and more. The party starts at 2:00pm. Party will be held at El Dorado HS in Placentia, please use the field directions link for directions. Coaches and Players will be served a free lunch. All pre-ordered items will be available for pick-up at this time. Coaches and players credentials will be handed out as well as pre-ordered event passes for the games. There will be coaches, player and parent meetings taking place immediately following the home run hitting contest. It is extremely important that all coaches, players, families and fans attend the Opening Night ceremonies and meetings. Players need to wear their team Jersey & Hat. (Shorts or pants are fine)

I invite you to use the merchandise link to save money and buy your stuff early. All pre order sales must be received before March 1st. Items will also be available for purchase at opening night and at the fields, but we will have a limited supply and expect to sell out early. If we receive orders after March 1st, we will have your order and check at opening night to hand back to you. You may then purchase items that we still have in stock on a first come first serve basis.

The tournament information line is 714-993-2838. This phone number is very important to know. Any schedule changes, updates from each day's scores and pertinent information will be posted on this line. In case of rain, we will not call the teams, we will post all information on this line. Anyone is welcome to use this information line. If you are out of town and not attending the tournament, we will have game scores updated quickly after each game. Lodging for your team and families is critical and your request for rooms should be turned in ASAP. Pursuant to the Tournament Contract your team signed, you must reserve your hotel accommodations through our Tournament Host Hotel. In the event you have not turned in your request for rooms, please do so as soon as you can to ensure you will have the necessary number of rooms available. The hotel is close to the fields and very nice places to stay.(Our host schools have a contract using this hotel, and teams or families members who do not use these hotels risk forfeiting their games.)
